Avoid fashion disaster with these expert tips:
What not to wear
- Tube tops (they make you look like a push-pop!)
- Plain white T-shirts (unless that’s your defining style)
- More makeup than you’d normally wear—be natural
What to wear
- Bright colors, layers
- For family photos: Instead of trying to find all of the same color for everyone, choose complementary colors or those from the same color family.
- For women and girls: Add flair to your photos with bold accessories, high heels, layers, scarfs or hats.
- For engagement photos: Bring a mix of dressy and casual outfits to allow for a wide range of styles.
- For senior portraits: Bring three outfits, as well as instruments, letter jackets, sports equipment—anything that means a lot to you.
- For guys: Cool jeans, Deisel shoes, a collared shirt underneath with a loose tie for guys.
- Since we do urban sessions remember to have your outfits look like they could go with a downtown setting.
Your outfits will determine what backgrounds we use, so if you bring a dressy dress we will take you somewhere nicer, don’t worry, we won’t take your cocktail dress to a trash dump (unless you want us to:).
Bring PROPS! If you play an instrument, have a favorite hat/hoodie, skateboards, favorite couch or chair, anything will make your session more unique.
